​Free Garden Community Project

The Free Garden Community Project is a collective of gardeners, enthusiasts, professionals and volunteers who are seeking to bring food resilience to our own homes, neighborhoods and city with an emphasis on giving of our abundance to those who need it most.

 

 

Free Garden Community Project started as a thought and is becoming something bigger than that. A free food project to bring food to those who need it most! We are living in a place where a majority of the money we work so hard for is spent in the grocery store. Spending hundreds of dollars so easily when we can grow food for free without worry of GMOs, pesticides, and chemicals. We are creating a resource for a way out of this "attachment" to a packaged grocery store. Not only is urban farming easy, you can grow SO MUCH food in small spaces. That is where we come in. We will build you a garden, maintain if you need it, teach you how to maintain it, and guess what? It's all FREE. Sounds Amazing Right? 

 

We have a handful of folks working hard to get our "demonstration" gardens in order. Our demo gardens will consist of different gardening techniques and styles. Each week we will host a work day to get these in order until we all have it built and ready to show. Once our demos are in place we will invite people to come see what we can offer for each yard in the community.
